After high school I worked for a year before going to college at University of Växjö. I´m studying the field of sport management and coaching, because sports has always been my greatest interest.
During the last year, I have been studying to be a Sport Chaplain. That´s something I´m really excited about and I really look forward to seeing how God want to use me in the world of sports. During my life I have been doing a lot of sports. The ones that I have experienced most success in are handball, volleyball and golf.
It´s not until the last year I´ve started to think about triathlon and I did my first (sprint) last summer (-08) and in October I ran my first race, a marathon in my home town Växjö. My goals for 2009 are to develop my biking and swimming, and to do a 70.3 Ironman. If my training goes well and I will stay healthy, I may also sign up for an Ironman. If I should be honest, triathlon is not my favorite sport, because there is no ball in it. Why am I then doing it? Because I love exploring my limits (if there are any) and push myself further than me (and my mom =)) think is possible for me. When I push myself trough pain and suffering, in some strange unexplainable way I feel that I praise God trough it. It´s very hard to explain but in some way God and sport (in this case triathlon) belong together in my life.
That´s a short presentation of my life. You asked if I know Christian Malmström, the other swedish member. I not only know him, his my brother (both in Christ and by blood).
Blessings!
