I am a 47 year old Clydesdale who is a father of 3 (2 at home) and have been doing triathlons for approximately 7 years.  I am also a 4 year member of the O.C. tri-club. 

About 2 years ago, I was challenged to do a Team in Training event and I knew as a Christian this was something of a narcissistic sport and I always wanted to combine my love of the sport with a good cause and I have now done two TNT events (Wildflower and Malibu 2007/2008) as well as CAF as part of Team Ossur. Finally, I raced to Catalina with my church buddy Paul and a young pastor friend from Yorba Linda named Jim Domen. 

My kids go to Aliso Viejo Christian school where we also go to church and they have completed the Possibilities triathlon in Loma Linda and have taken some kids from school over the past 3 years.  In 2009 I hope to expand this and now have a teacher's commitment who will go with me and race in adults race and we are looking to add a bunch of kids from school to that event.  I will probably not be doing TNT in 2009 as I have family obligations and financial restraints but I would love to connect with other brothers if possible who are into the sport. 

I race locally for the most part mostly short course but I have done Wildflower and Oceanside 1/2.  As a Clydesdale I had three (3d place) podium finishes this year. The Lord blessed me this year! 

TRAINING:

I train locally, do hills on Pacific Island, Santiago Canyon on occasion and swim in Crystal Cover or CDM when I'm not doing laps at Crown Valley Y pool...
